CBD and Fashion: A Beautiful Combo

CBD and Fashion: A Beautiful Combo

Discover the Most Popular Fashion Trends of 2020

With a brand new year just around the corner, you want to look and feel your best. That means getting ready for 2020 with as much style as you can pack into your closet. Everything from your hat and sunglasses to your socks and shoes should represent your personal style. Are you ready to update your wardrobe? Believe me, doing so is easier said than done. Fortunately, I’ve created a little cheat sheet for you.

To begin, everyone is talking about chic CBD these days. At the same time, looking and feeling fit is as fashionable as it gets. That’s why combining the two multibillion dollar industries, CBD and fashion, is as stylish as one can imagine. Not only are the top CBD gummies and any CBD tincture on the market selling like hotcakes, but CBD bath bombs, soaps, and lotions for sale will be a gamechanger in 2020.

The domestic sales of CBD products reached a whopping $1.8 billion in 2018. That number is expected to surpass $20 billion in the next 5 years, according to BDS Analytics and Arcview Market Research.

When it comes to CBD and fashion, the industry is now flooded with CBD activewear. Popular CBD-infused garments now include expensive jumpsuits seen regularly in New York City, throughout Hollywood, and on Miami Beach. Maybe it is modern attire by folks taking tennis lessons at the club, or perhaps they’re practicing Pilates. Combining fitness and luxurious fashion, these fabrics are designed to manage sore muscles.

Growing in popularity, these trendy garments are created with miniscule drops of hemp-derived CBD that contains no THC whatsoever. The CBD can be placed in workout attire to line up with specific muscle groups, such as arms, legs, and calves. With the friction caused by an exercise routine, the fabric releases CBD. It is then quickly and safely absorbed into the skin, where it interacts with an individual’s endocannabinoid system.

Unfortunately, CBD clothing doesn’t have much of a reputation online when it comes to men’s fashion, as well as women’s fashion. Consumers agree that you are better off buying more powerful products, like CBD oil and edibles from a reputable company based in the United States.

The next big trend in 2020 is women wearing enormous Victorian sleeves, not unlike those seen in the 18th Century. The giant sleeves give the illusion of a thinner waist. It also adds plenty of femininity to any outfit. You can go for the goth look with black or gray sleeves, if not shoot for vivid colors to bring flare to minimalist outfits. Whether you flaunt a structured design or a whimsical sheer one, your puffy sleeves can be dashing.

The reinvented white top couldn’t be any hotter. While most folks possess white T-shirts in the drawers, make room for ones that have been cropped with plenty of decorations added on. Runway models have recently been seen wearing the colorless Ts that were cropped just below the chest with cut-up sleeves. Some designers have attached feathers to the tops, while others have sewn in decorative wires. The shirts go wonderfully with a pair of blues jeans or khakis. They also look marvelous under leather jackets and trench coats. White tops work on anybody just about anywhere, regardless of the time of year.

It seems that denim will never go out of style, at least not in the next year. In fact, models have been piling up as much blue denim as possible. Denim hats, denim jackets, and denim skirts are more than just budget-friendly and durable. They are as posh as you can imagine, even if they look like they came from a thrift store. Some have holes, while other jeans possess bleach stains, patchwork, ruffles, and tears. Indigo blue and galaxy blue work well with straight-legged high waisted jeans under pleated shirts, tailored blazers, and silk blouses.

Those of us who remember watching Nirvana and Pearl Jam Unplugged will certainly appreciate the Nineties Style that’s becoming trendy again. Without drifting from the denim look, you can stick to the grunge feel. All you have to do is add some plaid flannel. Do you have an old band T-shirt, like The Clash or The Ramones, to go under a button-down and beat-up leather jacket? Those living in cold weather get to rely on layering and comfort. Don’t forget the Converse Chuck Taylor high tops or Doc Martens on your feet. At least Nineties-Style accessories, such as barrettes, scrunchies, and basic black tattoo stretch chockers won’t be making their way back into the limelight anytime soon.

If you grew up when Led Zeppelin was touring, rather than Kurt Cobain, you won’t mind the return of the Seventies style in today’s culture. Runways and nightclubs will be filled with corduroy, bell bottoms, and vests. You’ll see plenty of earth tones, including brown, tan, and orange. Curly hair will get as big as possible. The guys will sport giant collars on their unbuttoned tops, along with plenty of facial hair. Ladies will flaunt high-waisted three-piece suits with flared slacks and extravagant jackets to channel free-spirited women’s lib. Both will show off broad shoulders, boxy shapes, and funky platform heels and psychedelic prints. The mere sight of these outfits will stir up images of John Travolta and the sounds of the Bee Gees in your head.

If you prefer the sounds of The Beach Boys, you won’t mind seeing Bermuda shorts on women all year. Nicknamed “mom shorts,” the knee-length slacks have been going in and out of fashion since the Forties. That is why you will be seen with every type of top imaginable this spring, from raggedy cotton shirts and modest Ts to pink blazer suits. Businesswomen will flaunt shiny satin and leather Bermuda shorts at the office, along with tie-dyes and suede button-down at the nightclubs.

Rather than looking nostalgic in 2020, dashing women will be appearing ultramodern in see-through shirts, dresses, coats and blazers. Figures will be shown off under the wild mesh designs with a risqué feel. Sometimes large zoot suits will be worn over knitted tops and sexy undergarments. Depending on the outfit, a woman will expose her neck, hips, and/or stomach. While see-through outfits will be seen in a wide variety of colors, shapes, and designs, the black lingerie-look will be the most prevalent next year.

Sticking to a high-tech appearance, neon has been quite popular this winter and will continue into the spring. Women’s sunglasses, dresses, and shoes all light up in shades of green, orange, and yellow for an electric feel. Draped in sharp tuxedos with oversized shoulders, models look like they came from a techno dancefloor in the latest Steven Spielberg sci-fi flick. There are strapless bubble dresses that glow, along with neon jackets that can be seen in outer space.

Other trends for ladies to look for include tiny vests, giant granny sunglasses, and wearing a towel as a skirt. Purses will be shaped like eggs and others will hang around a woman’s waist on a petite belt bag.

Are you ready to kick off the New Year with a stylish bang? Maybe you have already started. When it comes to CBD and fashion, there is plenty to look forward to in 2020. The future is so bright, it literally lights up the night.

A Review of the Entire CBD Products Line from UrthLeaf

In this CBD review, I am going to be reviewing the entire line of CBD products from a Californian CBD company called UrthLeaf. I am going to kick-off this reviewing by talking a little bit about the company, their branding and product quality. This review is going to be completely honest and impartial.

UrthLeaf CBD Products – First Impressions

Firstly, I would like to point out that I have received the products from UrthLeaf within one week: this is how long it took for the parcel to arrive from California (USA) to London (UK). In the grand scheme of things, this is almost twice as fast as it has taken for similar packages to reach me from California. It goes to show that, from the legal point-of-view, there aren’t any issues with UrthLeaf CBD products at the border control, which is great news for all the international clients.

UrthLeaf CBD

The entire package has arrived in a very hipster and professional UrthLeaf branded paper bag but due to the wet weather in London, the bag got wet inside my back pack and it was no longer worthy of being featured in this CBD review. My first impression of UrthLeaf CBD products was the association with nature, earth and soil. This is due to the company’s very professional logo that appears to be focussed on green and healthy living and suggests that their products are natural.

UrthLeaf CBD Products – Packaging

All UrthLeaf CBD products come in very sturdy and quality paper packaging. UrthLeaf CBD bath bomb packaging is the only product that breaks the mould as it comes in a brown box that is more common in the beauty industry. For example, when I walk into some luxury apothecary shops in Brick Lane or Cananry Wharf, bath bombs and soap appear in similar minimalistic and hipster chic packaging. Having reviewed many CBD products in the past, what made UrthLeaf’s packaging stand out is the fact that it is very detailed and contains a lot of useful information about each product. In my opinion, this is very helpful from the user’s point-of-view.

UrthLeaf CBD Hemp Oil Tincture 300mg , 900mg and 1800mg

UrthLeaf CBD Hemp Oil Tincture 300mg , 900mg and 1800mg

I have been trying out UrthLeaf CBD Hemp Oil Tincture in three strengths over the course of one week in different social settings. Having tasted many CBD oil tinctures before, UrthLeaf CBD Hemp Oil Tincture is unflavoured and does not taste like cannabis or hemp. It is very neutral but rich and tastes like delicious Italian oil you would have on your salad at a fancy city restaurant. Whilst I do not mind the taste of Cannabis or Hemp, I do realise that many CBD oil users may have negative connotation associated with Cannabis and Hemp products as CBD is essentially a Cannabis derivative less the THC. Given that UrthLeaf CBD hemp oil tincture has a neutral taste, it is ideal for anyone who would like to benefit from CBD oil without the taste of hemp or cannabis. I consumed UrthLeaf CBD Hemp Oil Tincture orally before I went to bed by putting a few drops under my tongue. Within half an hour, I was feeling all mellowed out, relaxed and focused. There is a misnomer that CBD makes you high. On the contrary, it helps to stabilise your brain and focus. I also experimented with the UrthLeaf CBD Hemp Oil Tincture in 900mg by adding it to my pre-workout protein shake consisting of blueberries, milk, protein powder and a banana. I had the protein shake two hour’s before going to the gym and I must admit that the CBD Oil really helped with the focus aspect at the gym and really improved my endurance, especially when it came to the cardio and weights training. The neutral taste of UrthLeaf CBD Hemp Oil Tincture makes it perfect for mixing it with various foods and drinks. My personal approach is to consume weaker CBD oil orally and add higher strength CBD oil to foods and drinks. On the company’s website, UrthLeaf state that they only use non-genetically modified industrial hemp from a select few CBD farms. I think that this claim really goes hand-in-glove with their earthy and nature-inspired branding.

UrthLeaf CBD Gel Capsules 900mg

UrthLeaf CBD Gel Capsules 900mg
UrthLeaf CBD Gel Capsules 900mg

I never quite understood the concept of consuming CBD Gel Capsules until I spilled CBD oil all over my iphone whilst I was taking some CBD oil whilst on the move. UrthLeaf CBD Gel Capsules 900mg offer the convenience of consuming CBD oil whilst on the move. Likewise, I came to realise that UrthLeaf CBD Gel Capsules 900mg may also help with reputational risk management. Uninformed people may be skeptical about one consuming CBD oil from a pipette and UrthLeaf CBD Gel Capsules 900mg definitely offer more discretion for consuming CBD in public places or even at the workplace. I decided to have a few CBD Gel Capsules whilst I was on a long Underground journey in London. Naturally, I was a bit tensed and stressed out after a long day at the office and the hustle and bustle in the city. I downed 2 CBD capsules with some tasty fizzy lemonade bubble tea and after about 30 minutes, the effects of CBD began to gradually kick in. I was feeling more relaxed, composed and chilled out to the point where I was making light talk with fellow commuters. I really like the fact that UrthLeaf CBD Gel Capsules come in 900mg, a fairly high strength. It is fairly easy to adjust CBD intake with CBD oil by taking a few drops more or less. However, with CBD Gel Tablets, you would want to receive the optimum effect without having to swallow ten CBD capsules. The CBD Capsule strength is definitely on point. On UrthLeaf’s website and on the label, it is stated that their CBD Capsules contain:

Fractionated Coconut Oil (MCT Medium Chain Triglycerides)
Gelatin (Gelatin Capsules)
Non GMO Sunflower Lecithin
Full Spectrum Hemp Oil

UrthLeaf CBD Hemp Healing Salve 900mg

UrthLeaf CBD Hemp Healing Salve 900mg

Here is what UrthLeaf claims about their CBD Hemp Healing Salve:

UrthLeaf’s top selling, topical salve is crafted by extracting full spectrum, CBD-rich, hemp oil and infusing it with organic lavender flower oil, organic coconut oil, vitamin E, and organic beeswax. These simple ingredients create a powerful salve that is packed with anti-inflammatory properties to help treat all of your aches, pains, and sore muscles. We also like to use our salve on cuts, wounds, dry skin, and eczema! For faster, targeted relief, simply massage a small amount into affected area.

UrthLeaf CBD Hemp Healing Salve 900mg

Overall, this sums up the UrthLeaf CBD Hemp Healing Salve extremely well. Over a year ago, I have developed a skin condition known as uticaria. I had done many blood tests and saw my GP on multiple occasions, but the exact cause of my allergy was unknown. I was told that it could be anything from stress to my body’s intolerance to humid British weather. I was therefore left to take Loratadine anti-allergy tablets. If I failed to take the tablets every morning, my body parts would all of a sudden begin to turn red and I would develop a rash. It is very annoying to be living with such a condition. I immediately tried UrthLeaf CBD Hemp Healing Salve on affected skin areas and the rash went away in about 5 minutes. However, what I have noticed is that by using UrthLeaf CBD Hemp Healing Salve, CBD Hemp Oil and the CBD Bath Bomb, my condition has become to recede. The total number of allergey occurences has declined and even if I do not take my anti-allergy tablets, I can easily get by for a day or two. This is very encouraging and definitely goes to show that CBD has a lot of potential in helping to treat and alleviate skin conditions and allergies.

UrthLeaf CBD Hemp Healing Salve 900mg

I was not planning of using UrthLeaf CBD Hemp Healing Salve for anything other than helping to treat my allergy and dry skin, but after one month of being away from the gym, I decided to go back to my normal bench-press weight only to sustain a back injury. Basically, I could not lift up the bar back up, it landed on my belly and I tried to push it off me using my back. I did not realise that at the time, but I had sprained my lower back and I was in a lot of pain after the workout. I applied copious amounts of UrthLeaf CBD Hemp Healing Salve two times before going to bed and once in the morning. The results were incredible, my back pain began to subside and after 2 days it had gone away completely. This is nothing short of a miracle because such back pains take at least 2 weeks to heal. I would therefore heavily recommend UrthLeaf CBD Hemp Healing Salve for anyone suffering from gym injuries and allergies or skin conditions. The smell of UrthLeaf CBD Hemp Healing Salve is extremely pleasant and sophisticated and has no tell-tell signs that you are using a hemp or CBD product. I was very surprised that the smell of this UrthLeaf CBD Hemp Healing Salve is very gentle, rustic and reminds me of a trip to a beautiful garden from one of the Victorian Novels! Usually, similar salves have a very pungent and not entirely pleasant smell. UrthLeaf CBD Hemp Healing Salve also works great as body cream and is a great replacement for perfume.

UrthLeaf Eucalyptus CBD Bath Bomb 50mg

UrthLeaf Eucalyptus CBD Bath Bomb 50mg
UrthLeaf Eucalyptus CBD Bath Bomb 50mg

I am generally more of a shower person and due to my busy routine, I do not have the time for taking a full-blown bath with soap bubbles and nostalgic yellow rubber ducks. I finally caved into taking a warm bath on the weekend with some tasty bubble tea. I chucked the Eucalyptus Bath Bomb as I was filling up the bath. It began to dissolve very gradually and gave a very soothing and fresh aroma to the entire bathroom. When I got into the bath, I have noticed to feel very relaxed, calm and my skin became extremely soft and supple. After about one hour, I felt very rejuvenated and extremely relaxed. The Eucalyptus CBD Bath Bomb combines the best of both worlds by bringing CBD into cosmetics and body care products. I could definitely feel the therapeutic effects of CBD on my skin and my physical and mental state. My skin felt younger and my body just felt relaxed. This CBD bath bomb helped me to get a very good night’s sleep and helped to reinvigorate my entire body. I definitely felt very positive results the entire week.

UrthLeaf CBD Vape Pen 200mg

UrthLeaf CBD Vape Pen 200mg

I do enjoy a good vape and have tried all types of vape e-liquids from the UK, Malaysia and USA. I like to vape all my e-juices in 3mg nicotine. I find that nicotine makes me feel very agitated and pepped up. I have only vape CBD oil once or twice before. I remember that I had some issues with vaping CBD eliquid on my Uwell and Vopoo vape tanks as they were not very friendly to CBD eliquid. One thing that I really like about the UrthLeaf CBD Vape Pen is that it comes with a battery and a pre-filled CBD cartridge meaning that I do not have to waste any time in shopping for a vape tank and suitable cartridges. There is also no issue to getting the wattage right to get a good vape out of CBD eliquid. Starting off with the appearances, UrthLeaf CBD Vape Pen is very sleek and holds a very luxury appearance. The vape pen’s battery comes in a sleek steel finish and the cartridge is made from glass and not plastic, which really helps to keep all the nasties out and keeps the CBD eliquid pure and unadulterated. The vape is extremely smooth. In the past, I had instances of CBD oil tasting burnt or “not right”. This is something that kept me away from vaping CBD. UrthLeaf definitely do all the heavy lifting my providing a CBD vape pen that is actually configured to vape CBD. You do not have to meddle with any complex settings or controls. All you have to do is take a draw and enjoy. The vape is very smooth and natural. I recommend this CBD vape pen for anyone looking for instant relaxation. CBD oil and capsules take a bit longer to come into effect through ingestion. On the contrary, vaping CBD has a near-immediate effect.

UrthLeaf CBD Products: Final Verdict

During this CBD review, I have discovered that the quality of the CBD products and the claims by UrthLeaf are backed up by their superior quality. At large, UrthLeaf is definitely one of the very best organic CBD brands that I have tasted. The organic theme runs across through the branding and all the way to the quality of UrthLeaf’s CBD products. I found UrthLeaf’s CBD products to be very effective with relieving stress, anxiety, muscular pain, back pain, skins conditions and allergies. However, you do not have to have a condition to take CBD. I find CBD to be a very good way to chillax with some chillout music in the background. I would like to especially recommend UrthLeaf to those people who are looking for a more subtle hemp and CBD brand that does not exactly taste like hemp or shout cannabis! In terms of the prices, UrthLeaf CBD offers a great value for money considering that you are getting an organic product that is handcrafted from highest quality industrial hemp from a select few hemp farms!

A Full Review of Green Stem CBD Product Line

A Full Review of Green Stem CBD Product Line

I would like to thank the team at Green Stem CBD for sending me across their full product line for the purpose of this review.

About Green Stem CBD – Website

Before I go into reviewing the Green Stem CBD products, I would like to pause for a moment and review the company’s website. I must admit that I am very impressed with the speed and the artisan design of the company’s website. The website strikes me as being very consertive English and brings to mind Victorian novels and writers such as Oscar Wilde and Emily and Charlotte Bronte Sisters. Unlike other CBD sites that go very heavy on the CBD/Hemp element that tends to scare some website users away due to misinformation about CBD products and their association with cannabis, Green Stem CBD takes a very subtle approach towards CBD products by emphasising the botanical elements in their branding.

About Green Stem CBD – Company Overview

On their website, Green Stem CBD claims to provide a product for improving the quality of life and wellbeing. The entire Green Stem CBD product range features CBD Oil Oral Drops to Vaping Liquids, CBD Bath Bombs, CBD Gummies, CBD Tonic Water, CBD Hand Cream and CBD Lip Balms. The company states that all of their products contain CBD from either 99% pure CBD isolate or broad spectrum Hemp Oil distillate. In tune with their branding and botnaical motifs, Green Stem CBD products are made in the UK in accordance with stringent guidelines to guarantee the highest quality and purity in its products as one would expect from this company’s branding.

Green Stem CBD Full Product Line Review

Green Stem CBD Full Product Line Review

In this review, I am going to be reviewing Green Stem CBD Skincare Products including CBD Hand Cream with Essential Oils, Sandalwood, Lavender and Jasmine, Green Stem CBD Lip Balm Natural, Green Stem CBD Lip Balm Eucalyptus and Green Stem CBD Bath Bomb, Green Stem CBD Edibles and Drinks including Green Stem CBD Gummies and Green Stem CBD Tonic Water, Green Stem CBD Oil including Green Stem Black Cherry CBD Oil Oral Drops and Green Stem Peppermint CBD Oil Oral Drops.

Green Stem CBD Packaging and Presentation

Green Stem CBD products elicit quality that is subtle and quintessentially English: green and leafy countryside came to my mind when I received the products. The company’s branding is very similar to the likes of L’Occitane, Joe Malone and other popular and upmarket beauty brands. The only problem with the packaging was that the labels had come off a fair but on the CBD oil tube boxes, possibly because the sticker does not bind too well with the cardboard tube packaging. Such problems are common and I certainly came across them in the eliquid market.

Green Stem CBD Skincare Products

CBD Hand Cream with Essential Oils, Sandalwood, Lavender and Jasmine

CBD Hand Cream with Essential Oils, Sandalwood, Lavender and Jasmine

CBD Hand Cream with Essential Oils, Sandalwood, Lavender and Jasmine comes in a very elegant and artisan meta tube packaging which is very easy to use and quite convenient to carry about in a handbag or a sports bag. The cream has a very sophisticated and luxurious smell of sandalwood, lavender and jasmine that is very subtle and not at all overpowering. I actually found this handcream a great alternative to perfume. It is perfect for all occasions and genders. Having used this CBD hand cream about five times, I noticed that my skin became much softer and moisturised. This CBD hand cream does really help with dry skin and even treats small scratches and skin disorders (disclaimer: this is only my experience and I am not making any statements on behalf of Green Stem CBD).

Green Stem CBD Bath Bomb

Green Stem CBD Bath Bomb

Green Stem CBD Bath Bomb comes in a nice square box. This bath bomb contains Sandalwood, Lavender and Jasmine and it is great addition to the ultimate bath relaxation experience. The bath bomb lasted quite a while and dissolved very gradually. The smell of this bath bomb is incredible. As I laid in my bath, I watched it transform into a royal botanical garden where all my stress and anxiety melted into the blue sky. I felt very relaxed and soothed after using this CBD bath bomb, my skin felt rejuvenated, smooth and healthier. The CBD element of this bath bomb, coupled with the earthy and flowery scents made for a very calm and relaxed bath experience.

Green Stem CBD Lip Balm Natural and Eucalyptus

Green Stem CBD Lip Balm Natural

Green Stem CBD Lip Balm comes in small, portable tube containers. The natural CBD lip balm is quite neutral in smell and is ideal for everyday use. The Eucalyptus CBD Lip Balm has a refreshing and invigorating smell and feel. When it had gotten a bit windy in my local area (Wapping), the Eucalyptus lip balm created a chilly sensation on my lips, which I quite enjoyed. However, neutral lip balm would probably be more appropriate during the chilly and windy period. Both lip balms are very long lasting and so not come off that easily even after a hearty lunch, a coffee and some bubble tea which means that the lips are always moisturised. Normally, my lips are quite dry, but these CBD lip balms definitely made my lips feel moisturised and soft during the best part of the day!

Green Stem CBD Edibles and Drinks

Green Stem CBD Gummies

Green Stem CBD Gummies

Green Stem CBD Gummies come in a very luxurious and durable bronze coloured meta container. I thought that the packaging of these CBD Gummies was the best out of the lot. It definitely creates a more sumptuous and opulent finish. The gummies are not actually gummy shaped, but are rather jelly pieces. Before I tried the CBD gummies, I expected a very sweet taste. I was very pleasantly surprised when I tried the CBD gummies because they tasted more like mildly sweetened tonic water with slightly leafy and earthy scents. I can actually see why these gummies would appeal to a more mature audience with a more conservative taste palette. After eating four or five gummies, I felt very relaxed and calm after about twenty minutes. My stress levels had dropped drastically and I ended up putting on some deephouse night vibe tracks and drifted off into a cosy midday snooze. Another thing that I have noticed is that these gummies do not have that acidic sensation on your teeth after you had eaten some sugar gummies. If you are not a fan of sugar and do not have a sweet tooth, these gummies are definitely for you. What I particularly enjoyed about these CBD gummies is that they are not sweet so as to become very more-ish. I tried sweeter CBD gummies and ended up finishing the entire pack in a day because the sugar made me forget about the CBD aspect.

Green Stem CBD Tonic Water

Green Stem CBD Tonic Water

I ended up taking this Green Stem CBD Tonic Water on a distant car trip. Before I popped the can open on M11, I expected some sweet and sparkly that will send me into an instant sugar overload! I was yet again pleasantly surprised, this tonic water is quite bitter but not bitter in the sense that I do not want to drink this. The slight bitter sensation was cancelled out by the taste of citrus notes and I could feel some earthy sensations too. The actual water is quite well-rounded and not at all dry as you would expect from tonic water. It is a great thirst quencher because after a few sips, I felt very refreshed and reinvigorated. I also felt quite chilled out on the motorway when normally, I would be more tense and stressed out. The price of this CBD tonic water is definitely very competitive considering that you are getting some health benefits out of it.

Green Stem CBD Oil

Green Stem Black Cherry CBD Oil Oral Drops and Green Stem Peppermint CBD Oil Oral Drops

I have tried all types of CBD oils from many CBD brands but these CBD oils were absolutely NOTHING like I have tried before. I have noticed that a lot of CBD oils on the market either contain a hemp or cannabis taste or aftertaste which I do not mind but I do know that it has putten some people off. For example, when carrying such CBD oils with you, can leave a hemp or cannabis smell on you which can be reputationally damaging and cause people to mistakenly think that what you are consuming may not be entirely legal. Green Stem Black Cherry CBD Oil Oral Drops and Green Stem Peppermint CBD Oil Oral Drops definitely transgress all the expectations, the Black Cherry CBD Oil smells like a Morello cherry that you would have on top of your cake or a cupcake, it is very fragrant but at the same time extremely subtle. When trying the black cherry cbd oil, all I could taste is just very faint black cherry. The cbd oil has a very neutral taste with a subtle black cherry finish that leaves a pleasant sensation in the mouth. The eucalyptus CBD oil is likewise very subtle and has a very gentle minty sensation that is subtle and does not send you into an arctic overload in your mouth. The CBD oil takes a good ten minutes to kick in. I immediately felt very chilled out and my brain and the entire body became relaxed in the background without frustrating my mental faculties. This CBD oil works great for any time of the day and not just before sleep.

Green Stem Peppermint CBD Oil Oral Drops

Final Words on Green Stem CBD

Overall, Green Stem CBD hosts a great stable of very luxury and artisan CBD products that are nothing like you have tried before. The Green Stem CBD products are great for a more discriminatory clientele who are looking for subtle and sophisticated products. The packaging of Green Stem CBD products corresponds to the quality. My overall impression of this brand is that it is geared towards more conservative people who value quality. The prices of Green Stem CBD products are very affordable and not prohibitively expensive as I had expected them to be. I would recommend Green Stem CBD products to those who are looking to benefit from CBD but without a “shouting” presence of hemp or cannabis smells.

Beginners’ Guide to CBD Cosmetics

Ok, I admit, I’ve been a little (or rather a lot 🙂 of a skin fanatic for as long as I can remember myself. I’ve been trying and testing most skincare fads that have appeared in the recent years: all the miracle-promising creams with yet another breakthrough nano-something; natural herbal and clay masks; botox, fillers and chemical peels. A few attempts did bring desired results, but most were a waste of time (and money!) and left me painfully wondering if there is an anti-age routine, which actually works… Well, all has changed when I did my research on the newest trend of CBD-infused cosmetics. Bear with me – when you read the article to the end and know what I know, you’ll probably never use anything but CBD-infused cosmetics again.

HAVE WE FINALLY FOUND THE ULTIMATE SKIN ELIXIR?

WHAT IS THE FAMOUS CBD, IS IT EVEN LEGAL?

CBD, or cannabidiol, is an extract from hemp leaves and flowers, which is legally allowed for use in the UK, Europe and USA. This recent legalization has caused a lot of confusion, and there is a lot of misinformation floating around.

One of the main points of this confusion comes from the fact that the media often uses the terms hemp and marijuana interchangeably. This makes it unclear if CBD is legal and if it causes a high. Now let’s take a closer look at this and explore what is meant by hemp, marijuana, cannabis, cannabidiol, CBD and THC.

Cannabis is the Latin, or scientific name, for the entire plant family. People usually colloquially call the the cannabis plant Marijuana, and it is mainly used to refer to cannabis strains which cause a psychoactive effect, euphoria, a so-called “high”. A lesser used reference is hemp, and it denotes non-psychoactive strains, which have been used for centuries for to make a variety of commercial products such as rope, textiles, paper, etc.

Beginners' Guide to CBD Cosmetics

In most countries, psychoactive marijuana is a controlled or prohibited substance. Only some US states, as well as Canada, have legalized marijuana for recreational use. As to non-psychoactive hemp, however, as of the end of 2018, UK, Europe and all of the US states have instituted legislation to regulate its cultivation and allow its use as a medicine.

Marijuana causes a euphoric feeling due to the high content of the psychoactive compound called THC, or delta-9 tetrahydrocannabinol. Hemp, on the other hand, has negligible amounts of THC. In fact, in order to be legally cultivated, hemp must contain less than 0.2% THC.

CBD oil, aka cannabidiol, is a natural essential oil, which is extracted from the flowers and leaves of the hemp plant, and thus, CBD does not cause a feeling of being “high”.

WHY ALL THIS CRAZE ABOUT CBD?

With legalization, CBD has been steadily rising in popularity. Well, as of now, more people search for CBD on Google than for the media mega-darling Kardashian

Beginners' Guide to CBD Cosmetics

Media does not shy from calling CBD a solution to any problem, panacea, elixir, the cure-all. Taking a closer look at it, all this obsession does have some grounds: a wealth of very promising research on CBD appears every day.

Hemp CBD has been found therapeutic for more than 50(!) conditions ranging from acne to epilepsy as per a list compiled from hundreds of peer-reviewed articles in scientific journals and PubMed, an online service of the U.S. National Library of Medicine.

The explanation as to how one plant extract can treat such a long and varied range of conditions lies in the the plant’s numerous – over 100 – active compounds called cannabinoids.

Actually, cannabinoids are also produced by our bodies, and we call them endocannabinoids, from “‘endo” – ‘‘internal” in Greek vs. phytocannabinoids, from “phyto” – plant.

Hemp phytocannabinoids work beneficially on the human body via the Human Endocannabinoid System (HES). HES was discovered back in the 1990s and is often called the most important discovery in human physiology in the late 20th century.

HES is not “just” another body system, like immune or digestive system. HES appears to regulate all the 11 organ systems, a system behind the systems, so to say. HES does it through sending cannabinoids to the the huge number of its receptors (called CB1 and CB2) present in every organ of the body. The main goal of HES is to maintain and control homeostasis, or a balanced, optimal condition of each organ and the body as a whole. HES regulates a wide array of bodily functions, from appetite to sleep patterns, moods, metabolism, immune response, the lifespan of cells and much much more. Given its key role, HES seems so hold the key to overall well-being and beauty.

Most importantly for skin aficionados, like me, skin is our largest organ and contains the highest number of CB1 and CB2 receptors, and thus is an important subject to the activity of HES.

Now imagine for a moment what would happen if you never took vitamin C in your entire life because the government made it illegal? Surely, after a while, all kind of problems and disbalances would arise due to vitamin C deficiency.

Already back in 2001, the theory of clinical endocannabinoid deficiency (CED) was put forward by Dr. Ethan Russo, neurologist and medical scientist

Without sufficient cannabinoids in our diet, the HES may operate at less than optimum efficiency, resulting in a general decline in overall health and skin ageing. Supplementing our diets with full spectrum phytocannabinoids may be an essential component to achieving optimal health and skin regeneration.

WHAT CAN CBD DO FOR YOUR SKIN?

Along with the incredible benefits CBD brings to your overall health, what can it do in particular for reversing the signs of ageing? Here’re 4 unparalleled benefits of CBD for your skin.

CBD IS A MORE POWERFUL ANTIOXIDANT THAN BOTH VITAMIN C AND E

Owing to their highly-protective properties, vitamins C and E get blended into every leading cosmetics formulas, and many brands offer exclusive vitamin formulas altogether. Well, a study, which was carried out already in 1998, reported that “cannabidiol was more protective against glutamate neurotoxicity than either ascorbate (vitamin C) or α-tocopherol (vitamin A), indicating it to be a potent antioxidant”.

To put it simply, antioxidants are the front line of defence used by our bodies against the ageing process caused by free-radical molecules that attack and destroy our healthy cells. We cannot escape free radicals, as they are a part of our interaction with life, originating through breathing, eating, sun exposure and even physical exercise. But each of us can try to maximally reduce their damage by eating a clean diet, supplementing with antioxidants, such as CBD, and using a protective external shield in the form of CBD oil. Such a shield protects against a number of environmental nasties like air pollutants, car exhaust fumes, cigarette smoke, etc.

CBD IS THE ULTIMATE ANTI-INFLAMMATORY

CBD possesses very strong anti-inflammatory properties and is steadily becoming a go-to remedy for alleviating inflammation of such a serious disease as rheumatoid arthritis. Acne is caused by local inflammation of skin hair follicles, and CBD’s hallmark soothing qualities can help diminish breakouts, reduce irritation and redness. CBD creams are reported to be effective against arthritis that originates from deep inside the joints, so imagine how effective CBD can be for more superficial inflammation at skin level!

Remember the HES? According to a 2014 study, the HES helps to control skin cell growth and oil gland production. This same study, as well as another presentation from the American Academy of Dermatology, reported that CBD taken orally and topically helped regulate production in the oil-producing glands as well as decrease inflammation, both of which are primary causes of acne.

Also, my own experience suggests that CBD is a powerful healing agent: a couple of times I had broken blisters with skin peeling-off – I applied CBD oil on them and the skin regenerated almost completely to a healthy pinky layer in record 2 days! And all that in the very humid and hot climate I lived. I literally could not believe my eyes!

CBD IS A MUSCLE RELAXANT

Do you notice how over time our most often-used face expressions result in wrinkles? This is because of a specific and highly individual pattern of strong muscles, which develops around certain areas. Botox injections chemically block nerve endings going to the muscles to prevent them from contracting. And the injections help! For three months or so. Well, CBD is certainly not nearly as abrupt in its effect as botox, but it also has fewer side-effects and is much cheaper. CBD has very powerful calming effects for the nervous system when taken orally, and apparently acts similarly on muscles. While CBD alone works well for aiding muscle relaxation, studies in mice, including 2010 research published in Journal of Pharmacy and Pharmacology, have demonstrated that an equal combination of THC and CBD is even more effective. (I am not recommending you run out and smoke marijuana, but merely stating what the research shows.)

A fundamental benefit of more relaxed muscles is an increased and more consistent delivery of nutrients and better elimination of waste from skin cells and intercellular skin space. Such a boost of beauty from within the skin, coupled with a regular external exfoliation, gradually reveal a clear, radiant complexion, the thought-after porcelain-like skin with high light reflective properties. And all this, without the needle and blood unpleasantness of a botox visit to a beautician, but simply through the application of an all-natural plant extract that comes as a gift directly from mother nature herself.

CBD RESTORES OPTIMUM SKIN CONDITION

The health and appearance of the skin depend on the correct functioning of sebaceous glands in the dermis as well as ample production of elastin and collagen. Too much or too little oil produced by the glands either cause acne or make skin dry and fragile. As all cannabinoids do, CBD regulates, or brings in, the optimum state of homeostasis to all the living tissues of our body. As the skin has the largest number of cannabinoid receptors, CBD can interact with skin in a very effective manner and thereby adjust oil production levels. This how cannabinoids were found to address even very serious medical conditions of psoriasis or eczema. It is possible that this connection can also explain why CBD can benefit ageing skin, also regulating the production of elastin and collagen and helping it to look more youthful and naturally refreshed.

CBD REJUVENATES

Wrinkles arise primarily through continued stress and constant tension expressed in certain areas of the face. CBD is now overwhelmingly taken orally to reduce stress, anxiety and tension as well as to get a deeper and longer sleep. And what can possibly be more beneficial to generate the glow in your skin than a calm, serene, relaxed, well-rested nervous system? In addition to using CBD skin, it also makes sense to consider taking CBD extract orally for a powerful synergistic effect.

HOW TO CHOOSE CBD FOR ANTI-AGEING?

Now that you are convinced or at the very least curious about the paramount importance of hemp CBD for your skin, the question arises – how to choose the right CBD cosmetics

Here I am going to ask you to consider something unorthodox and try to go back to basics. When switching to CBD, do yourself a favour and try, for at least 3-4 weeks not to use all the complex chemically-loaded formulas of premier cosmetics brands, and go for 100% simple all-natural plant CBD extract oil.

Why? Our skin is a living organ and absorbs everything we put on it. The stuff you put on your skin actually gets inside of your body. I once sat and read a long list of chemical ingredients on my $199 face cream, which I bought 2 years ago: parafinum liquidum, glycerin, caprilic trigliceride, glyceryl stearate, alcohol denat, stearic acid, dimethicon, persea gratissima, myristyl alcohol, tocopheril acetate, sodium carbomer, methylparaben, butylparaben, and etc, etc, etc, etc, etc.

I am wondering, can I actually spread this super advanced formula on my toast and eat it without getting sick? I don’t think so. It has too many chemicals that I don’t understand, and my body wouldn’t probably be able to digest either. Some of those chemicals may be ok(ish), but most of them would be just a burden for my body and skin.

On that day I decided to go the natural way – I started using CBD extract hemp seed oil. It contains only two ingredients – organic purified cold-pressed hemp seed oil and CBD extract obtained from organic hemp leaves and flowers. And it seems to be solving my skin problems perfectly! Even better than $199 cream! And since I can eat it, it’s perfectly safe for my skin too. No harmful preservatives and chemicals!

To conclude, if you’re looking for a way to slow down or even reverse your signs of ageing, then try CBD extract – it may prove to work wonders for you. This may seem too good to be true, but remember this amazing extract has the power to treat over 50(!) diseases. In the beauty world, CBD yet seems to be the less spoken-about option, and I just wonder can it be because the wide publication and acceptance of this information would put many cosmetics companies out of business?
